At her home, Aug. 26, 2003, Grace Beecher Rathgeber, 86, she had been married to the late Henry Rathgeber for 56 years, of 602 Central Ave., New Haven, mother of Jean Rathgeber of Flagstaff, AZ, sister of Marjorie Beecher of Middletown, grandmother of Thomas Mullins and great-grandmother of Stormy Mullins. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Rathgeber and a sister, Alice Shelley. She was born in Hamden, March 21, 1917 a daughter of the late Rollin F. & Catherine Smith Beecher, she graduated in 1939 with a BS degree from New Britain State Teacher's College. She had worked as an accountant with the US Dept. of Agriculture from 1939-47. Service of interment will be held at Beaverdale Memorial Park on Thurs., Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
