Harold James Beaudin, age 95, passed away on May 18, 2013 at his residence in Bennington, Vermont. Born in Bridgeport, CT on November 3, 1917 he was a son of the late John & Ethel Schoonmaker Beaudin. He was a graduate from Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport and the Bridgeport School of Engineering. Before moving to Vermont 10 years ago he was a resident of Hamden. Harold was employed for 30 years for the Southern New England Telephone Company and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He loved Boating, Railroad Trains and was an Electronic Hobbyist out of his basement. He was devoted to his family and always expressed his good sense of humor. Harold was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Murphy Beaudin; his daughter Lorraine Dorothy Beaudin; son Harold Beaudin; siblings Arthur, Kenneth & Joseph Beaudin, Ruth Toppitzer and Dorothy Wright. He is survived by his daughter Virginia Browning & her husband Gene of Pittstown, NY; his daughter in-law Marjie Beaudin of Oak Grove, CA; grandchildren Carol Browning-Brinn, Denise Escher, Gene Browning, Matthew Beaudin, David Beaudin & Amanda Tolisano and 9 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with his family at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and may attend his Service beginning at Noon in the funeral home.
