Branford- Harriett E. Underhill, 83, wife of John H. Underhill of 173 Alps Rd passed away in the Branford Hills Health Care Center January 24, 2001. She was a bookkeeper at St. Joseph's Manor of Trumbull prior to retirement and she served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during WW II. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons Bruce Underhill of Macon, GA, Dean Underhill of Old Lyme, CT, a sister Jeannette Clark of St. Augustine, FL, and a granddaughter Brynne Underhill of Macon, GA. She was predeceased by a twin sister Henrietta Barrett. Arrangements in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave.,Hamden.
