Rev. Harry R. Egner, husband of the late Ruth Blaney Egner of 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire passed away at his home May 16, 2008. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, September 16, 1925 son of the late Harry and Laura Garland Egner. He was a graduate of Gordon College, Boston, MA, the Philadelphia Bible College, Eastern Baptist Thelogical Seminary, Philadelphia, PA and received his Master's Degree in Philosophy from the University of PA. He was pastor of churches in Clayton, NJ, Altoona, PA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Fall River, MA, New London, CT and Associate Pastor at Elim Park Baptist Home in Cheshire. Rev. Egnar was ordained for 50 years. A Funeral Service will be held at Nelson Hall, (new chapel) Elim Park Baptist Home, 150 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire on Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m. BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden in care of arrangments.
