Obituary

Meriden - Hazel T. Felix Kennedy, 82, formerly of 170 Eaton Ave. died Saturday, May 14, at the St. Joseph Living Center in Windham. She was the wife of the late Slade Kennedy. She was born in Meriden, May 28, 1922 a daughter of the late Archie Delay and Harriet Rice Turner. She graduated from Laurel Business College and worked as a bookkeeper at K & L Associates in Wallingford. She was a member of the CT Golden Eagle Award Group of Girl Scouts and the AARP. She attended the First Congregational Church of Meriden where she was active serving as a Deconess and on various committees. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Lynn Ann and Kevin White of Willimantic, Donna Jean and Robert Fournier of Upper Darby, PA and son and his wife, Gary Lee and Celest Felix of Omaha, NE, seven grandchildren Joanna White of Central Islip, NY, David White, Matthew White, Joseph White all of Willimantic, Julia Fournier of Upper Darby, PA, Sarah Felix of Boca Rotan, FL and Emily Felix of Omaha, NE. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Spencer Felix and a sister-in-law, Lois L. Felix. Memorial service Saturday, May 21 at 1 p.m. at the Beecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
