In New Haven, August 26, 2007, Hazel-Jane Patterson, 69 of West Haven. Mother of Kathy Castellani and her husband Tom and Jamie Collins and Sharon, she is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, brothers Bub (Donna), Fred ( Jo), Glenn (Aldora) and John (Becky) Thackeray, sister Joyce Ann Shank and beloved friends Evelyn Burwell, Tracie and Tony Crouse and Michael Guiliano. She was predeceased by sister Carolyn Nally and brother Paul Thackeray. Born in New Haven July 18, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Hazel Pelham and James White. She was a member of the American Legion and was a square dance caller for Tiny Tornados & Teens. She was employed by the USPS in New Haven as a Phileatic Salesclerk, retiring in 1997 after 33 years. Funeral Service Friday, August 31, 2007 at 1 p.m. at The First Congregational Church in West Haven.
