HAZEL TAYLOR MARCI Woodbridge- Hazel Taylor Marci, 81, of Woodgridge passed away August 12, 2006 after a brief illness. Her husband of 45 years, Joseph N. Marci passed away in 1990. She was born in Gilbertville, MA Sept. 10, 1924, a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Weir Taylor. Mrs. Marci graduated from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in 1945 and received a bachelor's degree from New Hampshire College in 1978. As one of the first Nurse Practitioners in CT, Mrs. Marci worked at Yale New Haven Hospital and the Community Health Care Plan. She was active as a volunteer in Democratic politics in Hartford and New Haven, and was a member of the United Church on the Green. She was mother of Patricia M.Roth of Arlington, MA, Joan-Ellen Marci of Alexandria, VA and Carol A.Marci of Hamden, CT, grandmother of Thomas C. Powel of Brattleboro, VT, sister of John E. Taylor, William G. Taylor, and Marion Alford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Thomas J.Taylor and Milton Tayor, and a sister Margaret Eldredge.
