Helen Potter Buick, 85, beloved wife of 60 years to William Buick, passed away at her home in East Haven on September 29, 2008. She was born in New Haven on August 25, 1923 to the late Horace and Esther Hubbell Potter. Besides her devoted husband of 60 years, Helen is the loving mother of her two children, Bonnie H. Buick of East Haven and William P. Buick and his wife Katherine of New Haven and grandmother of Robert, Andrew, and William Buick. Helen had been a resident of North Haven for 82 years before recently moving to East Haven. She is a graduate of Stone Buisness College and worked for many years at the Southern New England Telephone Company. A dedicated and active member of St. John's Episcopal Church and a member of the Episcopal Church Womens Group. She was also a participant of the North Haven Garden Club and a past President of the North Haven Womens Club. Helen will be remembered for always giving of herself to those in need. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in North Haven. BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden is in care of arrangments.
