Helen Katherine Fleischmann, 91, entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2016. She was the beloved wife of 71 years of Arthur C. Fleischmann Sr. Helen was born on September 7, 1924 to the late Ernesto and Rose Deangelo Dilorenzo. A 1942 graduate of Tenafly High School, Tenafly NJ, she worked for several years before devoting her life to raising a family. Besides her husband, she leaves behind her son, Arthur C. (Julia) Fleischmann Jr. of Hamden; daughter, Donna E. Earley of North Haven; sister, Louise Voccola of Bergenfield, NJ; a brother, Vincent Dilorenzo of Westminster, MD; grandsons, Arthur C. Fleischmann III and William Worrell; granddaughters, Christina (Timothy) Freer and Casey (Michael) Erickson. She will also be greatly missed by 5 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by brothers Gabriel and Frank Dilorenzo and sister Phyllis Dilorenzo. An amateur singer in her younger years, she enjoyed music, dancing (she was the life of the party on the dance floor), playing the slots at the casinos in Atlantic City and Foxwoods and doting on her family. A loving, caring and sensitive woman, she will be sorely missed by anyone who knew her. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 19th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Rita's Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
