Helen F. Mongillo, age 76, passed away August 26, 2023. Helen was the widow of John "Bruce" Mongillo. Born in Southington on October 31, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Peter C. Mongillo, Sr. and Helen (Musto) Mongillo. Helen is survived by her daughter, Denise Mongillo of Bristol; sons, David Mongillo of Weathersfield and Jason Mongillo of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Blake Breglia, Anthony and Chandler Mongillo, and Jessica Markiewicz; and great-granddaughter Helena Markiewicz. Helen was predeceased by her son, John R. Mongillo, and her brother, Peter C. Mongillo, Jr. Raised in Southington, she was a schoolteacher for the Southington Board of Education. She moved to New Britain and resided there over 46 years.
A private service will take place with her family. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, Hamden.
