Henry R. Banks, age 64, passed away at his home in North Haven on February 21, 2015. He was the loving husband of Rosalie Scillia Loyd Banks, of North Haven. Born on August 5, 1950, he was a son of Dolores Ardito Banks and the late Amos Banks. Beloved father of Michael Anthony Banks, of North Haven, and Stephen Henry Banks, of San Diego, CA. Also survived by a sister Elaine Banks, of East Haven, and a brother, Wayne Banks, and his wife Joan of Guilford, sister-in-law Annette Girasuolo of West Haven, brother-in-law Leo Scillia and his wife Carol of West Haven, several nieces & nephews, and one great-nephew, Anthony Cunningham. He is predeceased by a sister, Vanessa Banks, and brother-in-law Michael Girasuolo. Henry worked for Milford Sandvik Products for 22 years, and later was employed by the West Haven Board of Education until his retirement. Henry was a giving person who enjoyed helping others, always generous with his time and talent. He will never be forgotten. Funeral service will depart from BEECHER & BENNETT – TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven on Thursday, February 26 at 10:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony's Church, New Haven at 11:00. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM.
