In Meriden, June 27, 2007, Henry H. Knapp, 92, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, husband of the late Edythe McKnight Knapp. Henry is survived by cousins William Sporing of Punta Gorda, FL, Dorothy Bivens of Wallingford, CT, Esther Cartwright of Stratford, CT and Mildred Carre of Inverness, FL. Henry was born Oct. 29, 1914 in Bridgeport, CT son of the late Ralph and Caroline Cheesman Knapp and was a veteran WW II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a utility supervisor at the former Bridgeport Gas & Light Co. He was predeceased by a brother, William Knapp and a sister, Evelyn Knapp. Memorial service at the Activities Center of Ashlar Village, Wallingford on Sat., July 14 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Masonic Cemetery, Wallingford. Arrangements under the direction of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
