MIDDLETOWN - Hilah Gray English, 99, formerly of 38 Boston Road, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Wadswoth Glen Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. English. She was born in Randolph County, Missouri, on Feb. 27, 1902, the daughter of the late Hardin and Ellen Harlan Gray. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret E. Bush of Meriden; two sons, J. B. English of Roswell, N.M. and John T. English of Mesquite, TX; a special niece, Frances Holt of Hacienda Heights, CA; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Burial will be in El Paso, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. English's memory may be made to the First Baptist Church, 460 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.
