At his home, Sept. 12, 2003, Howard T. Hopkinson, 86, of South Forest Circle, West Haven, husband of the late Theresa Asma Hopkinson, father and father-in-law of Gwen Ann and Robert M. Meszaros of Hamden, brother of, Leona Krahl of Branford, grandfather of, Robert M. Meszaros, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Boston, MA and Jennifer Meszaros of New Jersey. Predeceased by a brother, Joseph Hopkinson. He was born in West Haven, Oct. 26, 1916, son of the late Leon and Matilda Michaels Hopkinson. He was a graduate of the former YMCA Jr. College of New Haven and was Senior Draftsman and Engineer for G & O Mfg. Co. for 50 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Hopkinson played baseball in the Industrial Baseball League in the New Haven area and also was a ranked badminton player in CT. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave. Hamden, Friday, Sept. 19 at 9:30 a.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Saint Rita Church, Hamden.
