Irene E. Pierson, 98, formerly of 43 Chestnut Street, West Haven, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Apple Rehab. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick W. Pierson. Daughter of the late Thomas J. and Agnes (Moran) Fahey, Irene was born on June 11, 1917 in New Haven. A loving mother and grandmother, Irene is survived by her son Frederick Pierson and his wife Kathy; grandson Thomas Pierson and his wife Barbara of Syracuse, NY and grandson Dr. William Pierson of Bellevue, WA; and great granddaughter Chloe Ann Pierson of Syracuse, NY. She is predeceased by her brother Richard LaFoe. Irene was past president of the Notre Dame Mother's Club and member of the St. Therese Guild. She was also a Den Leader and Pack Leader of Pack #9 in West Haven. All arrangements were privately held. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in her honor at a later date.
