James F.
Bevacqua
March 28, 1947 – December 30, 2024
James F. Bevacqua, 77, of Meriden, loving husband of Marlene (Priebe) Bevacqua passed away in Meriden on December 30, 2024. He was born in Meriden on March 28, 1947, a son of the late Frank and Iva Walker Bevacqua. Besides his wife Marlene he is survived by numerous family members and friends, especially his brother-in-law Howie Priebe. After graduating from Maloney High School Jim honorably served in the United States Air Force, mainly in the Southeast Asian Theatre. Upon his return to Meriden, he joined the Meriden Fire Department where he worked for 25 years. In his free time he was an avid war historian, especially the Civil War. He also enjoyed antiquing, boating, fishing, and watching the New York Yankees. Jim's family would like to thank the staff at The Curtis Home, especially Lauren and Amanda in recreation.
Interment will be privately held at the convenience of his family. Memorial contributions in Jim's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
