In Hamden, March 13, 2007, James Dwight Monson, Sr., 84, husband of Doris Dwyer Monson of Williamson Rd., Hamden, father of Mary Borrelli and her husband, Robert of North Haven, Margo Monson of North Haven, Judy Divis of Bellevue, NE, Robert Monson and his wife, Rose of Palm Bay, FL and James Monson, Jr. of Danbury, CT, brother of Clara Stone of New Haven and brother-in-law of Beatrice Park of Barre, VT, grandfather of Gina Borrelli, Alicia Mysiorski, Robert Borrelli, Jr, David Borrelli, Laura, Erin, Kyle and John Monson and Benjamin, Constance and Emily Divis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Ruth Monson and Mabel Monson and brothers, George and Edward Monson. James was born in New Haven, April 9, 1922 a son of the late Abraham Dwight and Ruth Murden Monson. He was employed by Emhart Corp. for 25 years as a sales trainer during which time he traveled all over the world. He was a very active member of Spring Glen Church and participated in the theatre group and the choir of the church and also was in the Connecticut Experimental Theatre where he was past president. He enjoyed golf and played all over the world; wherever he traveled he managed to find a golf course.
