James Warren Nelson, 92, of Wallingford, devoted husband of 54 years to Adele Turner Nelson, passed away Jan. 5, 2010 in the Masonic Home. He was born in Hartford, April 20, 1917 a son of the late James C. and Annie Mae Weeks Nelson and had resided in Orange for 40 years before moving to Wallingford in 1999. James was employed as a machinist at the Whiting Screw Machine Co. for 30 years before he retired at the age of 79. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Danish Brotherhood. James and Adele enjoyed camping and church activities, and he faithfully cared for his wife for many years. He is survived by his daughters Julie Nelson of Hamden and Merrie N. Harrison of Madison, and three grandsons, Jared and Kyle Harrison and Hisho Uga. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday January 11, at 2 pm, at the Chapel of the Masonic Home in Wallingford.
