James A. Simoneau, age 84, of Hamden, passed away on October 27, 2023. Born in Grafton, Massachusetts on March 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Edgar and Rose (Condon) Simoneau. James is survived by his sons, David (wife Raquel) Simoneau of Hamden and Matthew (wife Alla) Simoneau of Fairfield, and sister, Nancy Landry of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his sister June Storey. James also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Talia and Sasha, in addition to 8 nieces and nephews. James resided in Massachusetts for 40 years before moving to Hamden for the remainder of his life. In high school he was a star baseball and basketball player. James was a graduate of Clark University in Massachusetts and was a banker for various local banks throughout his career. His passions included cooking, building home projects, and especially spending time with his family.
Graveside Service will be private with his family at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Friends are invited to a Celebration of his Life on Saturday, November 4th at 12:00 p.m. at Eli's on Whitney, 2392 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT.
