James E. Townsend, 80 of Meriden, passed away August 24, 2023. Born in Woodland Maine on September 9, 1942 he was the son of the late Elbridge and Irene (Deshane) Townsend. James was predeceased by his wife Madine Val (Moore) Townsend. He is survived by his daughters, Stacey Brochu and Kimberly Townsend both of Meriden and grandchildren Cody and Noah Chambers. James grew up in Maine moving to Meriden at the age of 20. He was a Plant Manager retiring from the Uniset Company. James enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball in South Meriden for many years.
