Jay Douglas Berggren, 50, of Meriden, passed away January 13, 2014 in Mid-State Medical Center. He was born in Meriden November 7, 1963 a son of the late Harry E. and Lydwina Schipke Berggren and was a life long Meriden resident. He is survived by his sisters, Nancy (William) Murdy of Meriden, Jean (Thomas) Fields of Southington, and his companion Cheryl McCarthy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Traue and a brother, Harry E. Berggren, Jr. Relatives and friends may visit with his family on Thursday Jan. 16, from 10-11 am in the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden.
