In West Haven, May 27, 2001 Jean I. Brainard, of 29 Third Ave. Ext. wife of Curtis Brainard, mother of Brian Brainard of West Haven and Jeffrey Brainard of Southington, sister of James Matthews and Vera M. Marshall both of West Haven. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brainard was born in Hempstead, L.I., NY, Dec. 14, 1932 a daughter of the late James and Ida Seaman Matthews and was a resident of West Haven for 50 years and a member of the New Life Evangelical Free Church of West Haven. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday (today) at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven.
