Jean Elizabeth Ridley, 93, of Meriden, loving wife of the late Frank William Ridley, passed away on May 26, 2023, at Midstate Medical Center. She was born in Hartford on September 23, 1929, the only daughter of Frank and Vera (Godo) Straub. Jean is survived by her children Frank Walter Ridley, Cheryl (Charles) Kennedy, Susan Ridley, James (Sally) Ridley, and Roberta (Mark) Plourde, her grandchildren Crystal, Heather, Jessica, Kelly, Patrick, Sean, Sara, James Jr., Edwin Jr., Donald, Christine, and David, and great-grandchildren Fiona, Ava, Ryan, Sebastian, Christian, Alexander, Joshua, and Isabella. She was pre-deceased by her son Edwin Ridley, and granddaughter Melanie Dow.

A funeral service celebrating Jean's life will be held on Thursday, June 1 ^st at 11:00 a.m. in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Friends may visit with her family from 10:00-11:00 a.m. before the service. Interment will be held in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden.
