Jean V. Winch, age 75, of Hamden, passed away on May 29, 2011 at the Masonic Hospice Care Center in Wallingford. Born in New Haven on November 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John & Lillian Barrie Verdyck. Jean is survived by her daughters, Debra Whitney & her husband Thomas of Germany and Patricia Winch of Torrington; her son, Michael Winch & his wife Ann of Cheshire; her brother Richard Verdyck of Florida and her grandchildren, Joshua Whitney, Lindsay Daoudi, Garrett Whitney, Daniel Whitney, Conor Winch, Emily Winch & Zachary Winch. Jean is also survived by 3 Great Grandchildren. Jean was a retired manager at Southern New England Telephone Co. Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, June 3rd at 10:00 AM in Grace & St. Peters Episcopal Church, 2925 Dixwell Ave, Hamden. Friends are also invited to remain after the service and visit with her family at the church. Jean's interment will be held privately with her family.
