Jeanne M. Bowen, 89, wife of the late Andrew Bowen, passed away on March 14, 2024, at Montowese Healthcare in North Haven. She grew up in West Haven and raised her family there as well, until moving to East Haven 30 years ago. Jeanne and her husband had a love of traveling, weekly square dancing, and greatly enjoyed their winters in Sarasota, FL.
Family was most important to Jeanne and she will be greatly missed by her devoted children, William Bowen of Bethany, Gary Bowen of West Haven, and Kathleen Smullen and her husband Richard of West Haven; her cherished granddaughter, Meghan Marchitto and her husband Edward; and siblings, Eileen Sauce, Rita Bogart, and William Bassett.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Atria Larson Place for their loving care in recent years and the nurses of Masonic Home Hospice for the special care they gave to Jeanne in recent days.
Friends are invited to visit with her family on Thursday, March 21st at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service starting at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
