Jerald L. James, 69 years, of West Haven, CT, husband of Sharon Cortalano James passed away at his home Feb. 23, 2006. Jerald was born and raised in Mamaroneck, NY, July 7, 1936 a son of the late Howard and Florence Fowkles James and was also a longtime resident of the Bronx and has lived in West Haven for 6 years. Prior to retiring 10 years ago he was an entrepreneur of businesses such as J & M Enterprises Consulting & Contracting, Jerry's New Topps Bakery, Jerry's Equipment and J & M Enterprise Real Estate Investor. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Sherri James of West Haven, Scott James of Bronx, NY, Yvonne James of Elmont, NY, Yvette James of Bridgeport, CT, Ronald James of Lithonia, GA and Dina James of Flushing, NY, his siblings, June Carney of VA, Jack James of West Haven, Jerome James of VA and Melvin James of VA. Also survived by his ex-wife, Mary W. James, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many friends and extended family members. He was predeceased by a son, Jerald James, Jr. and a grandson, Kevin James. Viewing Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 from 1 - 5 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven.
