MERIDEN - Joan Fearn Hall, loving and devoted mother and grandmother, died Thursday, January 19 at the Connecticut Baptist Home in Meriden. She was born June 4, 1926 to the late William and Anita Fearn, and was married to Bruce A. Hall for 42 years. She leaves four daughters; Sharon Amoroso and her former husband and continued friend, Anthony Amoroso, Linda and Daniel Hatch and Laurie Hall and Daniel Hanscom all of Meriden, and Anita Hall of Pt. Orange, Florida; nine grandchildren, Deanna, Rebecca and John Amoroso, Meghan and Patrick Hatch, Eric and Jaclyn Rovelto, Lauren Gorden and husband Lydell and Alyssa Hall-Hanscom and one great-grandson, Elijah Gordon. She also leaves a sister, Phyllis Stiles and her husband Sherman of Westbrook; a brother William Fearn of Texas and a sister-in-law Louise Fearn of Las Vegas, NV. She was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Fearn. Joan was blessed with many friends whose presence in her life brought her much comfort, especially Marylyn True, Sheila Banas and Kathy Comstock. She was an active member of Center Congregational Church, and was a faithful member of the group "Koinonia". She loved "the sound of music", especially the choral and bell choirs at church. Joan made her home for 13 years with her daughter Linda and family, and her last few years were spent in the loving care of the staff of Connecticut Baptist Homes in Meriden. Her family will always remember and be grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to Joan during her illness. A memorial service will be held at Center Congregational Church, 474 Broad St., Meriden on Monday, January 23 at 5:30 p.m. The Rev. George True will be officiating. There will no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden.
