Joan Marie Ivey, of 365 Mather St., Hamden passed away Sat., Dec. 17, 2005. She was born in New Haven, Jan. 31, 1937 a daughter of the late Albert M. and Amelia Anderson Ivey and resided in Hamden since 1987. She was employed as a clerk for Stop & Shop in Hamden. Miss Ivey was a member of the Whitneyville Congregational Church, a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Golden Rod Chapter, #34. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Helen Ivey of Hamden and Elizabeth Ivey of Killingworth, two nieces, Lynda Bigler of OR, and Alyse Cohen of CT, two nephews, Alan Ivey of MA, and Dana Ivey of VA. She was predeceased by four brothers, Albert J., Kenneth E., Warren H. and Harold J. Ivey and a sister, Alberta J. Ivey. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park will be at the convience of the family.
