Joan Lenore Nemit Pelliccio, 89, of North Haven, wife of the late Nicholas J. Pelliccio, passed away on June 27, 2018. She was born in Vandergrift, PA on April 11, 1929 to the late Marie Nemit. Joan is survived by her children Joseph (Kathie) Pelliccio, Mark (Laura) Pelliccio, Angela Pelliccio (Bruce) Sweyd; sister-in-law Rose Ann Pelliccio; her grandchildren Marco (Beth) Pelliccio, Dana Pelliccio (Jim) Brunt, Austin Taczli (Mark Tancredi), Emelia Pelliccio (Oscar Jasklowski), Christian Pelliccio (Liz Talmadge), and August Pelliccio. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Bodhi Pelliccio, and Penelope and Theo Brunt. She was predeceased by her son David Pelliccio. Joan was a proud longtime member of the Farnham Family Circle and The Raindrops clubs. She was also an avid NY Yankee, NY Giant, and UCONN women's basketball fan. Friends are invited to visit with Joan's family on Monday, July 9 from 4-8pm at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home in Hamden. On Tuesday, July 10, her funeral will leave the funeral home at 11am for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30am at St. Therese Church in North Haven. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
