Meriden- Joan Holbrook Wojan, 73, of 85 Carter Ave. Ext., died Friday, May 21, 2004 at Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of Robert Albert Wojan and lived in Burlington, CT for 20 years prior to returning to Meriden. She was born in Meriden on December 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Sidney and Frances Knopp Holbrook. She was a graduate of Morgan High School in Clinton and was employed as a nurses aide. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Victoria Reiser of Ocala, FL; two sons, Arthur H. Pardew of Ocala, FL and Martin Lane of Pascagoula, MS; a sister, Marilyn Maynard of Westbrook, CT; a brother, Sidney J. Holbrook of Westbrook and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle Pardew O'Callahan. The funeral will be held Monday, May 24, at 11:30 a.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
