John Bernacchia, Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022 with his nieces and nephews by his side. Born in New Haven on April 19, 1941 to the late John and Marcellina "Blanche" Castellazzo Bernacchia, Sr. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Marie Omicioli and Dolores Fusco.

John will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit and his great love of music.  He worked in the cafeteria at Southern Connecticut State University for 25 years until his retirement.

His family would like to give special thanks to the dedicated caregivers at Whitney Rehabilitation Center.

Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Friday, December 16 ^th at 10:00 a.m. in Beaverdale Memorial Park, 90 Pine Rock Ave., New Haven.
