John Burtasket, age 75, of Cheshire, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. Born in Portland, ME on October 1, 1939, he was the son of the late John and Ruth Armstrong Burtasket. He was the loving husband of Janet Keene Burtasket. Also survived by his sister Barbara Manning, of Hamden, his niece Susan McGoldrick, his nephew Robert Manning, and 7 grandnieces and nephews. He had worked in the factories at Cytec Industries in Wallingford for many years, and was a devoted member of the New Haven Elks Club, the Wallingford Rod & Gun Club, and the Wallingford Senior Center. Funeral arrangements will be private and in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
