John J. Flanagan, Jr, age 76, of Hamden, passed away on February 21, 2015. John was born in New Haven on January 23, 1939, the son of the late John J. Flanagan, Sr and Alice Banner Flanagan Cropper. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Moran & her husband John of Wallingford, Darlene DeLaura & her husband Scott of Niantic and Jackie Poplawski & her husband Ed of Colchester; his grandchildren Stephanie & Michael Moran and Ariel & Scotty DeLaura; his sister Martha McBride of Centralia, WA and his former wife Patricia Plourde Flanagan. John was a retired Dock employee for the Local Teamsters Union. Friends may attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.
