John W. "Jack" Westwood, 96, of North Branford passed away at his home on September 21, 2023. Jack was born in New Haven on March 10, 1927, a son of the late Leonard and Gertrude (Fletcher) Westwood. He was predeceased by his wife Carolyn (Bulnes) Westwood, his sister Marge Pageau, and his brothers Leonard and Ronald Westwood. Jack is survived by his sons, John (Amy Sadkin) Westwood of Norwood, MA and James (Angela) Westwood of Northford; his grandsons, James A., Andrew M., Michael J., and Kevin P. Westwood; his sister Joyce Warren; brother-in-law John Marinuzzi of Northford; and several nieces and nephews. Formerly of Hamden, Jack had been a resident of North Branford for most of his life. He was an accountant for the United Illuminating Co. for over 40 years before his retirement. Jack always enjoyed golfing and his trips to the casinos with his brother-in-law.
Friends may visit with his family on Monday, September 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. His Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
