John R. Mongillo, age 37, life tragically ended on October 5, 2016 as a result of a hit and run accident. John was the son of Bruce & Helen Mongillo; brother of Denise, David, and Jason Mongillo; father of Blake, and uncle of Jessica LaFrance and Anthony Mongillo. A special thanks for being part of John's life goes to his partner Michelle Cameron & her parents John & Linda Cameron. John was a resident of New Britain all his life until recently moving to Tennessee. He had a love for cooking, especially for his family. John was employed as a cook at many restaurants. He was a joyous and loving man, always with a great smile. John will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of John's life on October 20, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM at St. Jean Baptiste Society, 209 Smalley Street, New Britain. His interment was held privately.
