John Peyre, also known as "Big Kuntry," age 46, of Hartford, formerly of Meriden and Torrington, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2024. He was born in Akron, Ohio on December 30, 1977, a son of Raymond Peyre and Kathryn (Rhynders) Peyre. Beside his parents he is survived by his children, Alyssa Peyre, Hannah, Dana and Daniel Lestat; siblings, Annissa Rhynders and her daughter Amelia; Jen Peyre and her children Angel, Jojo, Camy, and Azaleah; Annie Peyre and her children Alyssandra, Xavier, Sinia, and Tai; James Peyre and his children Brennan, Chase, and Alayna; and Molly Ferrin and her children Quarion, Leif, and Finn; two great-nephews, Emaias and Malakai; and other extended family and dear friends.

John was a loving son, brother, father, and uncle who had a heart of gold, and was always a phone call away. John loved getting his hands dirty working on cars or on his motorcycle. He was a long-standing member of a Meriden-based motorcycle club, NWO 52. During his time with the club, he found community and a strong brotherhood.
