MERIDEN - Jonathan Brian Meigs, 54, of 40 Oxbow Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Alice Hyatt Meigs. Born in Meriden on March 12, 1948, he was the son of the late Carlton and Barbara Perham Meigs. He was a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and received a Masters Degree from Central Connecticut State University. He was employed by the Meriden Board of Education as a fourth grade teacher at John Barry School and participated in numerous community and school activities. Besides his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter and her fiancee, Susan E. Barton and John Salka of Wallingford; two stepsons and their wives, James B. and Erin Barton of Meriden and Thomas M. and Lori Barton of Meriden; a sister and her husband, Deborah and Jerry Gunn of Newburg, Maine; two grandchildren, Emily S. Barton and William E. Barton, both of Meriden; two uncles, Richard L. Perham of Meriden and William Perham of Chicago; a niece, Caitlyn Gunn of Newburg, ME; and a nephew, Joshua Gunn, also of Newburg, ME. He is also survived by T. Scott Harris of Meriden and Andrew Harris of Maine. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 20 Catlin St., Meriden. The Rev. Robert Stocksdale will officate. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Beecher and Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
