At his home May 16, 2001, Joseph P. DeFelice 80, beloved husband of Frances Impellitteri DeFelice of 630 Mix Ave., Hamden. Loving father and father-in-law of Peter and Joan Fiore of Spring Park, MN and Joseph and Ann DeFelice of Owings, MD, brother of Faye Torniero of Southington and the late Anthony DeFelice and Rose Chiaramonte. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren, John, Anthony, Nicholas, Carey, Brian, Mark, Luke, Jessica, Joanna, 3 great-grandchildren, Alaena, Jacob, Zachary, nieces, nephews and friends including William and Louise Scarpa. Mr. DeFelice was born in Easton, CT, Oct. 2, 1920 a son of the late Joseph and Maria Coppola DeFelice. He was a chef all his life and had worked for 45 years at the former Weather Vane Restaurant and later for 15 years at Milford Academy. He was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Monday, May 21, 2001 at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 o'clock at St. Joan of Arc Church. Entombment at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum, Derby. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM.
