Joyce L. Scaniffe Miller, 74, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice surrounded by her children. She was born in New Haven on April 27, 1948 to the late Dorothy and Leonard Scaniffe. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ildefonzo Gonzalez (Marci), Elizabeth Gonzalez (Daneen), Jose Gonzalez (Kim), Richard Gonzalez (Lourdes), and Tammy Protopsaltis (Ari); her pride and joy, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, as well as her lifelong friend, Joey Minervini, and her dog Max. Predeceased by brothers, Leonard, Donald and Michael Scaniffe. Joyce was a kind and generous person; her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends
Friends are invited to visit with her family on Monday, December 19th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
