June E. Corbi, age 94, of Hamden, passed away on April 26, 2014. June was the widow of Francis Corbi. Born in New Haven on June 26, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Walter Newton & Elizabeth McKeon Newton. She is survived by her sons, Robert Corbi of Navarre, FL, Richard Corbi of Washington, DC, and Thomas Corbi of New Haven, CT. She also leaves 4 grandchildren including Kyle Corbi and a great granddaughter Alivia Corbi. June was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Ann Corbi, her son James Corbi and her grandson Kevin Corbi. June was a Registered Nurse employed by Yale New Haven Hospital for many years, after that she did private duty nursing. Funeral from BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden on Friday, May 2nd at 10:00 AM, followed by her Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Rita Church, 1640 Whitney Ave, Hamden. Friends may also visit with her family at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
