Kanchanbhai Ambalal Patel
May 23, 1955 – March 3, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kanchanbhai Ambalal Patel, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, who peacefully passed away surrounded by family, on March 3, 2025, at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut.
Born on May 23, 1955, in Joshikuva, Gujarat, India, Kanchanbhai was a hardworking man who built a beautiful life for his family in Connecticut. He found immense joy in the simple yet profound moments of life—sharing meals, traveling to new places, and, most importantly, being with his loved ones. He had a deep love for food, especially sweets, and took every opportunity to gather around the table with his family – sharing laughs, stories, and of course, the most incredible food prepared by his loving wife.
Kanchanbhai was a dedicated husband to his beloved wife, Sushila K. Patel. Together, they shared a lifetime of love and adventure, traveling and creating sweet memories. He was a proud and loving father to his daughter, Heena, and her husband, Brent Crouch, and Kanchanbhai's son, Sagar. His greatest joy were his three grandchildren, Liam, Laila, and Dylan Crouch, whom he adored and cherished deeply.
Kanchanbhai's cheerfulness, easy-going spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be dearly missed but forever remembered. His legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
In honor of Kanchanbhai's memory, the family invites everyone to celebrate his life by sharing good food and embracing the joy of family and friends.
Services will be held at Beecher and Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT, from 10:00a.m. – 12:00p.m. At the request of Kanchanbhai and with his blessing, lunch will be served at Shree Nathji Haveli Temple, 70 Pond Lily Avenue, New Haven, CT starting at noon.
