GENTILE, KARI ANN, 44, September 9th, 1963 - Dec. 6th, 2007. She was the beloved wife of Salvatore Gentile and adored mother to Victoria and Stephanie. Born in New Haven, raised in Hamden, the Republic Of Ireland and Vermont, she was a resident of East Haven since 1998. Kari was the daughter of the late Maurice J. Purpora and Ann McCorkindale Purpora of Hamden. She was a graduate of the Haircutting Institute of Cosmetology in West Haven and was, most recently, a Walmart Retail Associate. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by six siblings: Joseph W. Purpora and wife, Maura P. Davies and husband, Nicholas C. Purpora and wife, Sarah L. Davis and husband, Christina M. Purpora and Felicia R. Adams and husband, one grand niece and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins. We will never forget her.
