In New Haven, March 17, 2006, Kathleen Coffey Mitchell, 70, of 136 Lombard St., New Haven, died Friday at the Hospital of St. Raphael. She was the wife of Thomas P. Mitchell. She was born June 23, 1935 in New Haven the daughter of the late John and Mary Granfield Coffey. She had worked as a Deputy Clerk for the U.S. District Court until her retirement in 1998. She was a member of the Irish American Community Center. Besides her husband, she is survived by a brother, John Coffey of Stonington, CT, a sister, Joan Weiscopf of Kapolie, HI, a brother-in-law, William Mitchell and his wife, Eleanor Mitchell of North Haven, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Regina and Robert Vitalli of North Haven, Patricia and George Owler of North Haven and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Edmond Ccffey. Funeral Service Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 9 a.m. from BEECHER & BENNETT Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Church, North Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
