Obituary

In Farmington, Feb. 15, 2001, Kenneth A. Crossland, 87 of King St., West Haven,husband of the late Doris Contois Crossland. Brother of Lillian Kroll of Glastonbury and Jeanette Hamilton of Southbury. Predeceased by sisters, Marion Dudley, Vivian Eastwood, Alice Willis, Victoria Williams and a brother Oliver Crossland. He was born in New Haven, Feb. 8, 1914 a son of the late Joseph M. & Alice Westfield Crossland. He served during WW II in the US Army 109th Inf. Reg. where he received the European African Middle Eastern Theatre and American Theatre Campaign Ribbons and the Victory Medal. Before his retirement he was a machine operator at Raybestos formerly of Stratford. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of West Haven. Funeral service at BEECHER & BENNETT TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven, Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. Friends may call Tues. from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial with full military honors in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
