Ms. Kristin Mary Ridinger (formerly Taurchini), 59, of New Haven, and a long time resident of Woodbridge, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 9, 2016. Daughter of Albert F. Ridinger, of Stuart, FL and the late Nancy Perkins Ridinger, Kristin was the loving and devoted mother of Sarah Wallace Taurchini, of Arlington, VA; Matthew Adam Taurchini, of Washington, DC and Timothy Corr Taurchini, a junior at Georgetown University. Kristin is also survived by her siblings; Kate R. Marosek, of Fairfax, VA; Albert F. Ridinger, Jr., of Branford; Willa J. Ridinger, of Branford; Richard P. Ridinger, of Hopkinton, NH; in-laws; Gerald R. Marosek, Tricia Bohan Ridinger, Donald W. Bagnall, Nancy W. Hoffman; many nieces and nephews; aunts, Marian P. Grey, of Avon, CT and Sally P. DeGennaro, of New Haven; fifteen first cousins; and numerous dear friends and colleagues. A 1974 graduate of Amity High School and a 1978 graduate of Georgetown University, Kristin was a talented artist, accomplished athlete and gifted student. A respected and dedicated member of the faculty at The Hopkins School for thirty-five years, Kristin was a coach, teacher and Head Advisor to generations of grateful students. Friends may visit with her family at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden on Tuesday, January 12th from to 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Rd., Woodbridge on Wednesday, January 13th at 10 am. Private burial at St. Lawrence Cemetery will immediately follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kristin's name to Georgetown University (Women's Tennis Program); or to Hopkins School (William DeGennaro Scholarship Fund or Student Financial Aid Fund).
