Laura Briggs Roston In New Haven, Jan. 6, 2002, Laura Briggs Roston, 77, of 163 Woodin St., Hamden, wife of the late William Wright Roston, mother of Linda May Roston of New Haven, David W. Roston of Ashford, CT, Donald E. Roston of Hamden and Douglas G. Roston of New Haven, sister of Eleanor Byrd and Buddy Briggs both of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Also survived by 6 grandchildren. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, Dec. 3, 1924, a daughter of the late Edwin Fielding & Audrey Hazel Leaman Briggs, she served in the Canadian Air Corps during WW II. She had been a cashier at the former Bradlees Dept. Store in Hamden and was a member of the American Legion Post #88 of Hamden. Funeral service Thursday at 1 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Wed. from 5 -8 p.m.
