MERIDEN-LaVern Hudson, 44, of 151 Crown St., died May 9, 2001 at her home. She was born in Baltimore, MD, March 19, 1957, a daughter of the late Nathanial Hudson and Mattie Deloris Banks Hudson of Meriden. Besides her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Sonia Cividanes and Nina Cividanes, both of Meriden; three sons, Howard Cividanes, Jr., Kevin Hudson and Jose Hudson, all of Meriden; four sisters, Nadine Hudson of Hartford, Beverly Hudson, Cynthia Hudson and Orstine Hudson all of Meriden; two brothers, Michael Hudson and Maurice Hudson, both of Meriden; ten grandchildren; and her longtime companion, Howard Cividanes, Sr. of Meriden. A funeral service will be held Monday, May l4, at 11 a.m. at Parker AME Zion Church, 1280 North Broad St.,Meriden. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
