Lawrence V. Bruce, age 68, of Meriden, passed away on April 8, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Lawrence was born in Meriden on March 31, 1948 a son of the late Joseph M. Bruce and Mary Waterhouse Bruce. He is survived by his sister Beverly Zaluski & her husband Joseph of Meriden; nieces Stacey Buonanni and Kristy Palmer and great nephews Nicholas, Thomas & Drew Buonanni. Lawrence was predeceased by his brother Michael J. Bruce. A resident of Meriden all his life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, his vegetable garden and racecars. He will be greatly missed by his many friends he associated with at Quick Pics on East Main Street. Lawrence was a US Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, and was a supervisor, retired from Westvaco Corp. His Graveside Funeral Service will be held in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Section 27 South, Meriden on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM and will be concluded with Military Honors.
