Lee R. Stevens, age 75, passed away on June 19, 2016 at his home in Hamden. Lee is survived by his wife, Jane E. Harmon Stevens; his daughter Cheryl L. Castellano & her husband Anthony; his son William G. Stevens and his grandchildren Amanda, Steven & Sophia Castellano all of Hamden & Tristyn Johnson-Stevens of Flowery Beach, GA. Born in New Haven on March 5, 1941 he was a son of the late Gerard M. Stevens & Ruth G. Stanton Stevens and brother of the late Gerard L. Stevens. Lee was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a tire service man working for the family business first, Gerry Stevens Tires then Tri State Tire, Porto Tire and Charlie's Tire companies. Friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 24th at 11:00 AM in St. Stephen's Church, Hamden. Interment with Military Honors will take place in All Saints Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in care of BEECHER & BENNETT FUNERAL HOME, 2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden.
