Lillian Morro Murray Amarante, 96, of Wallingford, passed away September 5, 2016. Born in Hamden on September 15, 1919 to the late Angelo and Gelsomina Travaglino Morro. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Andrew Amarante and Robert Murray. She will be remembered by her children and their spouses, Cheryl (Frank) DeMatteis of Hamden, Andrea (Richard) Kaman of North Haven, Joseph (Susan) Amarante of Rocky Hill, Michael (Diane) Amarante of Wallingford and Paul Amarante of Bethany; 19 grandchildren, Laura, Frank, Amy, Michael, Matthew, David, Tina, Cathy, Daniel, Linda, Lauren, Sarah, Andrew, Ashley, Patrick, Rachel, Joseph, Philip and Timothy; 14 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Antoinette Melotto, Joseph Morro, Anna Francis, Molly Trotta, Penny Lewin and Margaret Onofrio. Relatives and friends may visit with her family on Thursday, September 8th from 4-7 p.m. at BEECHER& BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated directly at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden Friday morning at 10 a.m. followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
